Brother Rice held their annual Foundation Golf Outing at Beverly Country Club on Monday, August 29, 2016. Coaches, faculty, and staff participated in this fun event that not only featured a full round of golf but also a lunch and dinner that followed.
The cost of the outing was $500 with all proceeds going to the Brother Rice Foundation, which is committed to raising significant funds to keep tuition affordable and to ensure the long-term success of Brother Rice High School. All Foundation Golf Outing caddies were experienced Brother Rice students. The event lasted roughly seven hours starting at 11:00 A.M.
Students with prior caddying experience were allowed to participate. Junior Mike McShane, who caddied for Director of Admissions Tim O’Connell, shared his thoughts on the outing: “It was a fun day; it looked like the golfers enjoyed it, and I know I did,” said McShane. McShane plans to be a caddy again next year. Luckily, the weather cooperated nicely, and the golf outing proved to be a success.
