Brother Rice pitcher Shane Gorman considers his curveball his best pitch.
That wasn’t the case Tuesday against Marist.
That honor belonged to the senior left-hander’s change-up, which baffled the visiting RedHawks in the Crusaders’ 4-0 victory.
Gorman (1-0) allowed three hits and struck out five over six innings for Brother Rice (4-4).
“I work with what I have,” Gorman said. “Usually my curveball keeps me in the game. The changeup was working today.”
