The Brother Rice rugby team made a clean 4-0 sweep on their tour of Toronto, Canada. Tour highlights include a walking tour of Kennington Market, a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame, going to the top of CN Tower, and a boat tour to Niagara Falls.
Standout performances came from two-time man of the match John Podlasek, captains Brian Gannon, Conor Desmond, and Brendan Alison, newcomers Jack Keane and Mike Foreman, Dan “D.C.” Connors, Kyle “Doc” Mehok-Doherty, Jack “Chelly” Chellberg, Ryan Smith, and Tim O’Shea, and stellar leadership from Vince Carlson.
All the boys represented Brother Rice well on the field, but more importantly conducted themselves manfully in a foreign country. The coaches received countless compliments on how respectful the boys were.
All are invited to the Friday, April 21, game at Marist in the first ever Rice vs. Marist rugby game.
